Biography of the Scottish inventor John Logie Baird, the founding father of television, who in January 1926 became the first to demonstrate publicly real television. Other pioneering achievements included outside broadcast, transatlantic transmission, large-screen presentation, demonstrations of colour television, plus significant developments in radio imaging, secret signalling, fibre optics, infra-red scanning and facsimile transmission.
