Romanesque and Gothic: Decorative Metalwork and Ivory Carvings in the Museum of Scotland is a comprehensive catalogue of the decorative metalwork and ivory carvings found at Scottish sites, 1100-1500. The collection includes the Whithorn Crozier, matrices, West Highland reliquaries and other artefacts imported at an early date from France, Germany and Scandinavia, as well as Scottish pieces heavily influenced by European art.
