Throughout the 20th century the army used posters to attract recruits into the Scottish regiments. Modern design and print techniques created striking, colourful images for display in public places. The suggested benefits of army life, such as world travel and organised sport, backed up the main theme – the glamour and patriotic appeal of the Scottish military image.
