Kinloch Anderson have been weaving Tartans in Edinburgh since 1863, and have been supplying the Royal Family since King Edward VII.
This tartan has been designed to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the Kinloch Anderson company founded in 1868. The tartan name is in memory of the sundial monument which Councillor Kinloch Anderson donated to Inverleith Park in Edinburgh in 1890 and its restoration in 2018. The tartan colours were chosen because of their particular significance to the company: sandstone for the shade of the sundial; green for Inverleith Park where the sundial is located; blue for the Water of Leith that runs close to the company’s premises in Leith, Edinburgh; 3 golden yellow lines represent the three Royal Warrants held by the company and 6 red burgundy lines for the six generations of the family ownership and management.
This cosy scarf is 100% lambswool.
