Created in collaboration between Timesmith Dressmaking and Prickly Thistle, this beautiful tartan was part of Isabella McTavish Fraser's wedding dress from 1785, which is currently on display in our Wild and Majestic exhibition.
Woven in the Highlands of Scotland, this limited edition, soft merino wool scarf has been created to commemorate the recreation of the 1785 wedding gown at the National Museum of Scotland on 29-30 June 2019 as part of the exhibition program.
Hand cut with hand-finish fray. Tartan sett has been scaled up from the original 18th century cloth to ensure good colour representation. No two scarves are alike.
