A full set of beautiful replica Lewis Chessmen pieces cast from laser scans of the world famous original artifacts on display in the National Museum of Scotland collection. Handmade in the UK and presented in a fine quality black and silver foil display box.
Discovered in 1831 on the Isle of Lewis but dating back to the 12th Century, the Lewis Chessmen recall a time of feuding Viking lords and violent invasions. They are one of National Museums Scotland’s most popular and beloved items.

These authentic replicas have been handmade in the UK from 3D laser scans, using a simulated ivory finish to accurately represent the walrus ivory originals. Each set comes in an elegant presentation box. Please note that this set includes playing pieces only, chess boards must be purchased separately.
