Bonnie Prince Charlie: His Life, Family, Legend
£15.99Description
Charting the early life of Prince Charles Edward Stewart, this book describes his multi-cultural upbringing at the exiled British court in Rome and the traits he inherited from his Polish mother.
It also presents the full stories of the prince’s only child, Charlotte, Duchess of Albany; her mother, the tragic Scottish Jacobite Clementina Walkinshaw; and the fates of Charlotte’s three children, one of whom has living descendants.

It now has 150 illustrations including 70 portraits – many rarely shown or never before published – and Jacobite-related objects belonging to National Museums Scotland.
The cover features a recently discovered portrait of the prince by Rosalba Carriera.
