An exclusive collaboration between National Museums Scotland and the renowned Scotch Whisky expert, Charles Maclean. The Whisky Flavour Wheel was first created to help the whisky industry in 1979 by Pentlands Scotch Whisky Research Ltd. Charles Maclean, training there in sensory evaluation in 1992, devised a new and simplified version of the wheel, designed to be more accessible to consumers.
