Tartan Bagpipes Decoration

This beautifully crafted decoration is made from felt, featuring beadwork and metallic thread, hand embroidered in India by local artists. 

The Bagpipes have been played for thousands of years throughout large parts of Europe, Africa and Asia, but whilst historians can only speculate on the actual origins of the piob mhor, or great Highland bagpipe, it was the Highlanders themselves that developed the instrument to its current form, establishing the Bagpipes as Scotland's national musical instrument.
