East Fortune - Embroidered Badge

Description

This embroidered badge depicts the official badge for Royal Air Force station East Fortune. It was a Royal Naval Air station 1915-1918 and then an RAF station 1918-1920 and 1941-1946. During the First World War it was an airship and aeroplane base; in the Second World War a night fighter, and later, anti-shipping strike, training unit.
